A Reading Requires Truth, Trust, & Honesty on Both Sides, And Is Not "Over" When The Session is Finished.
After reading a post where the author asked people to reveal bad experiences with a medium I felt compelled to address this matter.
First and foremost when you make the decision to come and speak with some one about spiritual matters , choose wisely and come prepared to engage in a bit of question and answer.
Like any service there needs to be a starting point.
Movies and Television have created a false idea that a psychic is so open that your personal information is floating about in the air and can be plucked out in an instantaneous moment to reveal what color your underwear is or what your mother fed you for lunch in 2004.
This isn’t a game or a joke. And just like going to have your car serviced you have to begin from a starting point. Trust, truth and being honorable on both sides of the veil are most important to me and the reason I was dragged kicking and screaming into doing this work.
In my 35 years of working in this field I have met some of the biggest egos on the planet, some out for a quick buck and some of the most dishonest charlatans you would not want to run into in a dark alley. And on the flip side I have met angels, light workers, healers and sweethearts I would and have trusted with my soul. And these are the humans, I have also met creatures, critters, angels, ancestors, dragons, Faerie, Earth spirits and more who keep me humble and in awe of this so called gift of mine.
The language used in doing readings is symbolic and often when I have my critical mind saying” you can say that out loud, you sound like a fruit cake) those are the messages that hit straight to the heart and bring tears to my clients. The symbolic messages are so subjective, say I see a horse and a see a herd of horses surrounding you in a field. This image can mean many things. My biggest job is to say what wants to be expressed to my client and not label or tag it with my definition. Horses to me are scary beasts viewed best from a distance, but if you look up the many different symbolic definitions of horse plus add your own experiences horses can mean freedom, wild abandon, motion, a spirited helper as in a pack horse helping us move from one place to another, as a wee example.
A reading is far from over when are session is finished. It is then your job to search out clues and symbols presented to you to discover your own deepening growth and new ways to help you achieve the dreams and goals you desire and the changes you want to make in your everyday life both physically and spiritually. My work is to help you see patterns, triggers and ways to forgiveness for ourselves and others. To aid you in helping map out changes and goals, to dig into the inner life of spirit and when those from the other side wish to communicate with a client I can pass on the message.
You job is to ask good questions, listen don’t argue, take some time after to review by yourself and jot down a few notes, tuck away the information and process over a few weeks but don’t obsess. You have the power to create change. You have the power to accept and reject any and all information regarding a reading. You are the best judge of knowing what information will help you move forward and what information to release as it doesn’t fit or feel right. Trust your own instincts and especially your gut feelings.
Don’t muck up a reading experience by having a multitude of readers in a single day. This is akin to going to an ice cream shop and having a scoop of every flavor all at the same time, causes brain freeze, tummy aches and more.
So having said all this........ take what feels right, and true to you and if you are so inclined find a medium, psychic, Intuitive, healer, teacher and work together to move forward to your better, richer life.
